A little about me

Hi, I’m Anthony Welsh, a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt with 25+ years of experience in product engineering, manufacturing, and process improvement. My journey began with a Mechanical Engineering degree from Kettering University and was shaped through hands-on work in both plastic and metal product design. I’ve led multiple industry-first launches in the automotive and consumer products sectors (curious what they were? Just ask!).

Partway through my career, I discovered the world of Operational Excellence and it completely changed how I approached problem-solving. The impact was immediate and lasting. These methods helped me tackle critical quality and cost challenges, support market research, and translate consumer insights into meaningful improvements. Along the way, I earned 23 patents.

Today, I focus on helping others improve the systems around them. I mentor individuals and teams to ask better questions, learn about the things around them, and implement practical and lasting solutions using data and experimentation. I’ve found that equipping the people already inside the organization is the fastest path to meaningful and sustainable change.

I’m a lifelong learner who believes progress comes from observation, curiosity, experimentation, and reflection. That mindset is at the heart of Impracta and everything I do.

I also love connecting with others to talk about challenges and the improvement methods they’ve found to be effective. What’s not working as well as it could? Are there friction points your teams are facing? Let’s talk about how to solve them.

Outside of work, I’m a husband and proud father of five.
